Milan Design Week 2025: A Celebration of Design

Milan Design Week 2025 was nothing short of electrifying and we were thrilled to be immersed in the creative energy that transforms the city each April. From April 7–13, the world’s design capital hosted a dazzling lineup of exhibitions, product launches, talks, showrooms, and pop-ups, drawing global visionaries and design lovers alike.

At the 63rd edition of Salone del Mobile, DEDON made waves with new collections by GamFratesi and Sebastian Herkner. Alongside its immersive installation “Aria” at Archiproducts Milano—created in collaboration with Studiopepe—DEDON introduced vibrant new textures and colors of its iconic fiber, further blurring the lines between interior and exterior living.

At RODA, the STRESA collection, designed by Piero Lissoni, offered a contemporary reinterpretation of classic metal garden seating, fusing timeless elegance with modern simplicity. Meanwhile, the RODA|MISSONI collection saw refreshed versions of beloved icons ORSON and LAWRENCE, now featuring bold, signature Missoni textiles.

Poltrona Frau made a dual impression, presenting the modular Dress Cove wardrobe system and Blisscape—a sculptural new sofa by Ludovica Serafini and Roberto Palomba. At Fuorisalone, the brand unveiled a collaboration with Fornasetti, reimagining the Isidoro and 1919 armchairs in Pelle Frau leather printed with the archive’s whimsical “Ultime Notizie” motif.

Molteni&C celebrated Milan in grand style with a poetic series of installations and the debut of its 2025 Collection at Palazzo Molteni. The brand also unveiled its seven-story flagship store in the heart of the city. Notable launches included the Emile Sofa, Lise dining table, and Odile and Maylis coffee tables by Christophe Delcourt, alongside a revival of Tobia Scarpa’s Monk chair for the Heritage collection.

Giorgetti’s refined showcase introduced the Floria dining table, created with Parisian architect Pierre-Yves Rochon, and a striking collaboration with Maserati. This exclusive capsule fused fine materials and sculptural lines, celebrating the synergy between design, engineering, and Italian savoir-faire. The outdoor Moorea collection further elevated Giorgetti’s open-air offering.

Over at Palazzo Ralph Lauren, guests were swept into a cinematic journey through four distinct lifestyle environments: Island, Penthouse, Western, and Estate—each one capturing the timeless charm of Ralph Lauren Home through layered, immersive interiors.

MillerKnoll impressed with Knoll’s expansive presentation of new pieces from leading visionaries. Highlights included the Biboni Sofa by Johnston Marklee, the Perron Bun Lounge Chair, the D’Urso Occasional Tables reissue, and the Muecke Wood Collection. Knoll also introduced a sculptural pavilion designed by OFFICE and Jonathan Olivares—an architectural centerpiece echoing the brand’s legacy of merging form with function.

Other standouts included Roche Bobois’ joyful collaboration with Pedro Almodóvar, celebrating color and cinematic flair; Ethnicraft’s renewed focus on adaptable seating and outdoor collections; DeCastelli’s poetic Caleide lighting and cobalt-blue Iridium Editions; and Zanotta’s vibrant debuts like the Fedrigo sofa and Riga-Riga collection by Vincent Van Duysen.

Milan once again proved why it leads the global design conversation—where heritage meets innovation, and every corner of the city becomes a canvas for creativity.
