Introducing the 2025 Molteni&C Collection

The 2025 Molteni&C Collection is a tribute to Milan, blending the city’s rich history with a modern, cosmopolitan aesthetic. Overseen by creative director Vincent Van Duysen, the Collection reinterprets designs and projects from the 1970s and 1980s through a 21st-century lens, resulting in a light, dynamic ambience perfectly suited to contemporary living.

The collection reflects the values of the newly opened Palazzo Molteni on Via Manzoni, a historic space and international hub for design, marking a new chapter in Molteni&C’s story.

Vincent Van Duysen has described the collection as “Dynamic, almost abstract environments, light, fresh, and scenographic – a home inspired by a contemporary re-reading of archives and history.”

One highlight is the return of the iconic Monk chair, designed in 1973 by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and reintroduced in the Heritage Collection. A calm and tranquil wooden chair with a suspended leather seat, Monk honors traditional craftsmanship and natural materials. It is now available in both its classic configuration and a version with a wider, lower seat.

Vincent Van Duysen also introduces two new designs: the sculptural Aria desk and the elegant Linea armchair. Complementing these are contributions from new collaborators Christophe Delcourt and GamFratesi. Delcourt’s armchairs, modular sofas, tables, and consoles explore geometry and tactile materiality, bringing a refined, international perspective. GamFratesi’s designs, including the finely sculpted Lia armchair and the graphic-inspired Tibeau bed, merge Scandinavian and Mediterranean design traditions in minimalist, meaningful forms.

Returning collaborators continue to enrich the Collection. Yabu Pushelberg presents the Theo bed, Studio Klass updates the Gliss Master wardrobe and the 505Up system, and Marta Ferri introduces two new rugs, Orrizonti and Roads, based on her ongoing textile research.

With its mix of historical inspiration, contemporary reinterpretation, and international design perspectives, the 2025 Molteni&C Collection offers a fresh vision for modern interiors.
